Besstel organises a Support Groups for service users, their carers and families under the facilitation of its Outreach team. The Support Group is designed to provide a supportive and flexible space through the use of open conversations to discuss and share a range of personal and family experiences relevant to supporting the delivery of their individual service outcomes. All participants are encouraged to interact with each other over tea, coffee, fruit juice, pastries and fruits.
There are two conversational spaces- a dynamic group environment that facilitates group sharing of experiences or one to one space for service users who prefer private support.
The private support also includes online telephone support where service users are able to have personal conversations and advice with an Outreach worker.
A total of 45 service users across all partner boroughs have so far taken part in this project.
